Yanil Barbosa: Dead to Them—How Mandated Shunning Robs Families of Life and Love

On May 28, 2019, my husband and I left the Organization of Jehova's Witnesses when sudden changes happened. We made research on topics and found out the incompatibilities between dogma and practices accomodating this as "New Light". We found out the end of times changing dates medical treatments proposed and published in the Awake and Watchtower magazines.

We set a meeting with Elders and showed the findings which sustained our decision to leave.

We saw the operation of shunning toward us first from them, later from our daughter who is married to an Elder. We cannot see, talk or make any approach to them and to our grandson. Basically we are dead to them. Shunning leads to virtual death and robs the joy of having a decent life quality.
